Claudia Ferreiro


Admitted, 1997. She is a member of the Environment and Natural Resources Area. She has 12 years experience in State Agencies like the National Environment Commission (CONAMA) and the Metropolitan Health Service (SESMA). She specializes in air pollution, waste, climate change, energy and environment, natural resources, protected areas and biodiversity protection. She has taught at the Master of Human Settlements and Environment and in postgraduate courses in Environmental Law, both at Universidad Católica de Chile.

Professional Experience
Since November, 2010, at CorreaGubbins.
In 2010 she drafted the bill for the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Service.
In 2009 she was the Chief of the Chilean Negotiating Task Force at the 15th United Nations Summit on Climate Change.
Between 2007 and 2010 she was the head of the Research Department of CONAMA.
Between 2006 and 2007 she was advisor for the Executive Director of CONAMA.
Between 2005 and 2006 she was the responsible for coordinating environmental issues at the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels.
Between 2002 and 2005 she directed the Department of Air Quality and Industrial Waste of former Metropolitan Health Service (SESMA).
Between 1998 and 2002 she led the Legal Department of SESMA.
