Marcelo Mardones

Admitted, 2001 (Spain) and 2006 (Chile). Member of the Environment, Natural Resources and Mining Area. During his career he has worked in the public sector, at the Ministries of Mining and Energy, and in the private sector, advising several companies in corporate and administrative law matters as well as others related to mining and energy. He has more than 15 publications in specialized national and international legal journals, and is the author of the book “International Merger of Corporations under the Chilean Legal System” (Editorial Jurídica de Chile, 2015). Currently, he teaches commercial law at Universidad de Los Andes, focusing on the theory of regulations; in the Master of Energy Engineering and in the Law Diploma Program of Natural Resources, both at the Pontificia Universidad Católica; as well as in the specialized course on “Structural Modifications of Corporate Entities” at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

Between 2013 and 2016 he was senior associate at Aylwin y Aylwin, Mendoza, Luksic & Valencia Abogados.
In 2012 he was senior associate at Núñez, Muñoz y Cía.
Between 2010 and 2012 he was in-house legal counsel at the Ministry of Energy.
Bewteen 2003 and 2010 he was in-house legal counsel at the Ministry of Mining.
